My Bid for Canberra...
On my student exchange trip a few years back, I had the opportunity to experience Australia in various different ways... Before I substantiate my bid for Canberra and rally for your vote, I would like to share with you my experiences in 4 of the Aussie States: South Australia (Adelaide), Victoria (Melbourne), Queensland (Brisbane) and New South Wales (Sydney)!
SOUTH AUSTRALIA (ADELAIDE)
Apart from the unforgettable car trip spanning from Adelaide (South Australia) to Melbourne (Victoria) via the Great Ocean Road, the awesome sunrise at Apollo Bay will be etched in my mind forever!
Looking forward to a unique experience on Qantas again!
Leading the life of a back-packer...
Enjoying the Caramaderie in the "Middle of No-where"
Enjoying the Wine Ice-cream at a Wine Festival at Barossa Valley...
The Wind can get really STRONG in Melbourne...
As I only spent a mere 3 days in Melbourne, I am looking forward to explore the vibrance of the city in the near future again. In a nutshell, the collage below represents what I withness for myself along Great Ocean Road... If any of you were to visit the Twelve Apostles now, there will be one less Apostle as one of them has succumbed to the daily erosion of the wave... However, I believe this strongly illustrate the Magic of Travelling: One will experience vastly different sights and experiences even if you visit the same site over and over again!

Based in Queensland (Brisbane), I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the beautiful beaches at Gold Coast as I watched the world goes by... While surfing was a luxury in Singapore, surfing is akin to jogging in Queensland. SO if you have the opportunity to be in Brisbane... Surf to your heart's content! Off the coast of Queensland are pristine islands such as Heron and Stradbroke Islands where you can spend a day picnicking in! And for the ladies out there, there are numerous fashion boutiques and factory outlets which you can get your wears at the most affordable prices...

And finally, the last state which I will be sharing about will be Sydney (New South Wales). My first impression of Sydney is that it is a confluence of affluence and vernacular landscape. All in all, it has its fair share of both urban and also natural attractions. Apart from Sydney Opera House, one must never miss the seafood at Fisherman Wharf where I had the freshest seafood in my life!
Running among the leaves at Blue Mountain...
What more can I say... Spectacular...
Habour Bridge Shrouded in Rain...
Preview of the Fisherman Wharf...
At this juncture, one may wonder why did I decide to bid on Canberra...
First and forthmost, I have not been to this parliamental state in Australia as my friends and I missed the bus service which heads towards Canberra when we were in Sydney. In retrospective, there has always been a missing piece of adventure which I thought I could leverage on and share with my family and friends
Next, I have this dream to publish a pictorial book on my Aussieland experience... Apart from spending hours designing my Photoshop collages to document and archive my pictures, I have also been reading up on other other states of Australia which I have not yet experience!
Last but not least, I really hope I can leverage on my photography skills to bring you in-depth coverage of the hidden natural treasure of Canberra.
With that, I would like to submit my bid for a trip to Canberra to add on to my collection of memories which I hope a sponsor will assist to publish into a photographic book and plough the profits back to the less fortunate in both Australia and Singapore.

Thanks for reading thus far and I hope my past experience in Australia has sparked off the travel bug in you to plan for your trip to Aussieland!
Warmest regards,
Ryan
